Power BI Developer

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, and DAX. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into visually compelling and data-driven reports and dashboards.⸻Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.• Write efficient DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.• Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.• Create and optimize data models, relationships, and hierarchies within Power BI.• Connect to various data sources (SQL, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.).• Implement row-level security (RLS) and user-level access controls on Power BI datasets.• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of BI solutions.• Maintain documentation related to data models, DAX measures, and report logic.• Support deployment, publishing, and Power BI service administration tasks.• Perform troubleshooting and debugging of reports and datasets.⸻Required Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.• Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).• Experience with Power BI Report Builder and paginated reports.• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, and ETL processes.• Knowledge of Power Query (M language) for data transformation.• Strong SQL skills for querying and performance tuning.• Familiarity with Power BI Service, including workspace management, gateways, and scheduling.• Ability to translate complex business needs into effective visualizations.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Originally posted on Himalayas
