Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Insurance Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and maintaining comprehensive medical records. This role is crucial in facilitating smooth financial operations within our medical office, and it requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems.

Responsibilities
• Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients.
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
• Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to ensure correct coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Manage accounts receivable, including following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as necessary with both insurance companies and patients.
• Maintain organized medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.

Skills
• Proficiency in medical billing software and systems.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, medical terminology, and coding practices.
• Experience in medical collections and managing accounts receivable, specifically Plastic Surgery.
• Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures, specifically Plastic Surgery.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
