This job is responsible for coordinating internal and external patient referrals from providers; answers calls from the physician referral call line or assigned clinic, coordinates appointments, and provides follow-up as required while providing exceptional customer service. Will also work collaboratively with resources such as the Regional Referral Center and/or the organization's On-Call service.

Education

Required - High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelor's degree.

Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.

Work Experience

Required - 4 years experience in appointment scheduling, customer service or related field.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.

• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Duties
• Manages the incoming call volume from referring physicians and practices or external referral volume from physicians within the clinic.
• Schedules appointments and procedures as requested, while partnering with internal departments and leaders to establish new patients.
• Develops tools to track and measure success.
• Works collaboratively with physicians, clinical care team, the Physician Liaison Representatives, Regional Referral Center, and the organization's OnCall service.
• Represents the organization as a subject matter expert to meet the needs of the referring physicians and practices.
• Other related duties as required.
