As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students' physical skills, strength, agility, and teamwork, while promoting physical fitness, hygiene, and good health. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and administer Physical Education classes consistent with school district goals and objectives
Teach knowledge of, and develop skills and abilities in, physical fitness, rhythm and dance, coordination and agility, exercise, and sports
Develop students' concepts in leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and social skills
Conduct ongoing assessment of student growth and progress in physical educational activities
Modify instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

CT State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment (Master's degree preferred)
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
