Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our MedPharma team. You will work primarily with Medicare and Medicaid patients, focusing on handling prior authorizations. This role involves setting up prior authorization processes in our systems and coordinating with review technicians. Initially, you will be responsible for intake but may receive training on review processes over time.

Responsibilities
• Handle the intake of MedPharma prior authorizations.
• Set up prior authorizations in the system.
• Send authorizations to review technicians.
• Potentially receive training to perform review processes.
• Provide excellent customer service, especially over the phone.
• Manage and control conversations, redirecting as needed.
Essential Skills
• Data entry skills.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT).
• Experience in pharmacy, particularly with managed care.
• Experience with prior authorization processes.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to work remotely and independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to handle and control customer service calls.
• Experience with appeals and claims in a pharmacy setting.
Work Environment

This position is 100% remote. You must work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions to ensure HIPAA compliance. Strong WiFi is required. You will be part of a rotating holiday schedule with other team members. Lunch breaks range between 30 minutes to an hour. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
