Payroll TAX Analyst III (Remote)

Our client is a seeking a Product Research Specialist III (Payroll Tax Analyst) to join their team! This is permanent position that is fully remote! A big perk of this company is that employees receive FREE benefits! • Qualified candidates must sit in one of the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia) This position is responsible for researching, identifying and interpreting payroll tax regulations and incorporating this information into the company's products. Operate with minimal supervision. Responsibilities • Perform duties under general directions from the Product Research Team Lead • Identify and interpret payroll tax regulatory information • Write detailed, plain language use cases and create corresponding mathematical worksheets for white papers, Product Requirements Documents, etc., as applicable • Use advanced features of standard internal tools (such as batch tests and incident tracking) to effectively collaborate with other groups • Respond to timeframes as dictated by SaaS service level agreements • Interact with Customer Support, QA Support, Software Developers, Data Specialists and Business Analysts • Maintain currency and the highest level of industry wide application knowledge • Complete Customer research requests providing proper supporting documentation • Keep abreast of legislative updates, for assigned authorities (which should generally number at least 20), that affect payroll/tax regulatory compliance • The Product Research Specialist III should be familiar with all authorities and be able to perform the research and update functions for even the most complex ones. • Create Product update requests and maintain proper supporting documentation • Perform project-related activities to assure that project, departmental and corporate goals are met • Assist in training new team members and others needing Research assistance. • Mentor junior team members • Act as back-up for the Team Lead when requested, or when needed We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: . • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus Must Haves: • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, preferred • Other Undergraduate degree with minimum 10+ years payroll and/or payroll tax reporting experience, 6 years technical experience in product research and/or software product development, OR • No degree with 15+ years payroll and/or payroll tax reporting experience, 5+ years technical experience in product and/or software product development • Recent and relevant work experience with payroll tax/compliance research, federal, multi-state and multi-local payroll tax reporting and remittance preferred • Proficient in the use of Internet applications and Microsoft Office suite • Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to multi-task and quickly learn and effectively understand new concepts and functions • Strong results orientation, highly motivated and detail-oriented Apply tot his job
