Patient Servicing Representative

Independent Health is looking for a Patient Servicing Representative to assist in various pharmacy operations. The role focuses on making outbound calls to patients to set up medication deliveries and providing high-quality customer service support.ResponsibilitiesThrough outbound calls, reach out to patients at the assigned timeframe to set up delivery for a patient’s medicationMaintain accuracy in recording information from patient at each fill and triaging to pharmacist for intervention based on responses to meet accreditation requirements. This includes but is not limited to day supply on hand, effectiveness, adverse events, and any new medications/allergiesAccuracy in date, time, delivery address, and delivery method for delivery set upMaintaining a high level of customer service to patients and appropriate follow ups if applicableAdditional tasks include are but not limited to billing of orders, taking incoming calls during high call volume and assisting patients with inquiries during these calls and assistance with digital engagement (i.e.: process orders from web portal)Work as a team member within the patient services department and all other departments to promote information sharing and continuous process improvementMust function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacistSkillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredOne (1) year of experience working in a customer service-related position or call centerEffective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for working with other health care professionalsAbility to lift a minimum of 5lbsProven examples of displaying the Reliance values: Collaborative, Accessible, Results-Oriented, Empowering, and SupportiveBenefitsScorecard incentiveFull range of benefitsGenerous paid time offCompany OverviewAs one of Western New York's first HMOs, Independent Health covers approximately 355,000 people here and across the country with more than 100 plans, services and products.
