About the Position: Join our dynamic team at TeamHealth as a Patient Accounts Representative. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely after completing an initial training period. As a key member of our billing and accounts team, you will play a crucial role in managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management: Handle patient accounts, including billing, payments, and account adjustments.
Billing Inquiries: Respond to patient and insurance company inquiries regarding account balances and billing statements.
Payment Processing: Post payments to patient accounts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance information and coordinate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies related to patient accounts and billing.
Customer Service: Provide excellent service to patients by answering their questions and resolving issues related to their accounts.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in business or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or a related field.
Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of medical billing software and EHR systems.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.


Certifications: Certification in Medical Billing or Coding is a plus but not required.
