Parts Procurement Associate
The Part Research Associate is a research-focused position dedicated to identifying, verifying, and sourcing the exact parts needed to support service operations. This role requires precision, analytical thinking, and resourcefulness. You will conduct in-depth research on part numbers, pricing, and availability, ensuring every procurement decision is backed by accurate, verified information. This position operates out of our Oak Grove, Kentucky store and plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving service efficiency, and supporting exceptional customer experiences.
Key Objectives
Conduct thorough research to accurately identify parts based on service work orders
Verify all part numbers, pricing, and availability using multiple trusted sources
Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to expand research resources
Responsibilities
Receive and review parts requests from the service department, clarifying requirements as needed
Use manufacturer catalogs, online databases, and direct supplier communications to research and verify part details
Compare pricing, availability, and lead times from multiple vendors to identify the most effective sourcing solution
Track industry trends and manufacturer updates to anticipate potential supply challenges
Document all research findings and sourcing decisions for internal reference
Maintain a high standard of accuracy, ensuring that all parts sourced meet the technical specifications required
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying ways to streamline research and procurement processes

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple research tasks simultaneously
Problem-solving mindset, especially when faced with hard-to-find or obsolete parts
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a team
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for vendor and internal interactions
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Demonstrate alignment with the Company’s vision, mission, and core values in all interactions
Receiving experience preferred
