Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Remote Dispatcher specializing in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) and general transportation services. In this energetic role, you will coordinate and manage transportation schedules, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery for clients requiring mobility assistance. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely while making a meaningful impact by facilitating safe and reliable transportation solutions. Your proactive communication skills and logistical expertise will be essential in optimizing routes, managing dispatch operations, and supporting our commitment to exceptional service. Duties • Coordinate transportation requests by assessing client needs and scheduling appropriate vehicle dispatches efficiently. • Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400 to input data, track shipments, and manage logistics workflows. • Monitor GPS and GIS tools to optimize routing, ensure timely arrivals, and adapt plans based on real-time traffic or operational changes. • Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and team members via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. • Enter accurate data related to dispatch activities, shipment details, and service logs with high typing accuracy. • Oversee freight movements, shipping & receiving processes, and fleet management activities to ensure smooth operations. • Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, incident reports, and client interactions to support analysis and continuous improvement efforts. Skills • Strong understanding of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and transportation planning tools to enhance route efficiency. • Experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine for scheduling and logistics coordination. • Knowledge of supply chain processes, freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) operations. • Excellent analysis skills to interpret data from various systems like AS400 or transportation management platforms for decision-making. • Proficient in dispatching practices with a focus on safety, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. • Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette and clear verbal/written correspondence with diverse stakeholders. • Adept at data entry with strong typing skills to ensure accuracy across multiple platforms like Oracle TMS or logistics databases. • Familiarity with fleet management software and transportation planning tools to coordinate vehicle deployment effectively.
