Job Summary: Join our team at Atlantic Cape Community College as a Part-Time Library Aide at our Cape May campus! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide exceptional support to our students and faculty. As a Library Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our library, assisting with circulation desk functions, and providing technical support to our community. Key Responsibilities: Perform library circulation desk functions, including patron registration, inter-library loan, holds, and managing reserves and shelving. Assist students and staff with locating print materials, utilizing electronic library resources and online research databases, navigating online courses, and using web-based course resources and applications. Provide excellent customer service, responding to telephone calls, recording and entering data into spreadsheets or databases, and directing students to tutoring resources. Maintain a neat and organized work area, performing light housekeeping duties as required. Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure seamless library operations. Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred. Experience working in a library, school, or other learning environment preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office and Google applications. Ability to lift and move books and boxes, and spend time standing and walking. What We Offer: Competitive salary: $15.50 per hour. Part-time position: up to 26 hours per week.
