Part-Time Email Designer (Canva) for Beauty & Personal Care Brand - Contract to Hire

We’re a growing beauty brand focused on helping women deal with ingrown hairs, irritation, and post-wax/shave care, and we’re looking for a part-time email designer to support our monthly campaign emails. Because of the nature of our products and messaging, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable creating content in the beauty + personal care space, including topics related to waxing, shaving, and skin in intimate areas. While we’ve historically had great experiences working with women, we welcome applicants of all genders—comfort and professionalism matter most. This role is ideal for a mid-level or newer designer who has solid design fundamentals, strong Canva skills, and wants the opportunity to grow with a brand long-term. What You’ll Be Doing Designing 4 email campaigns per month in Canva Translating provided content ideas into clean, engaging, on-brand email designs Creating layouts that are easy to move into Klaviyo and simple for our team to tweak if needed Designing with email best practices in mind (mobile-first, hierarchy, clear CTAs) Making light revisions based on feedback before campaigns go live Note: We intentionally design in Canva because our team may make small, last-minute edits in-house—so clean, well-organized files are important. Workflow & Timing Content ideas and direction will be provided at the beginning of the month for the following month’s emails Initial designs are expected mid-month to the third week, allowing time for feedback and adjustments This process helps keep everything smooth, predictable, and low-stress on both sides What We’re Looking For Experience designing email campaigns (not just social posts) Strong working knowledge of Canva Basic understanding of email marketing design principles Comfortable working with beauty and body-care content Organized, communicative, and open to feedback Nice-to-Haves (Not Required) Familiarity with Klaviyo or other email platforms Light copy formatting or copy-sense (you won’t be responsible for strategy) Experience with DTC or eCommerce brands Commitment & Budget Part-time, ongoing role Approximately 4 emails per month We’re open to mid-level or newer designers at reasonable price points Strong performance and reliability can lead to increased scope and pay over time Please include either: Your hourly rate, or Your per-email rate To Apply, Please Include A short intro about your experience with email or digital design Examples of email designs you’ve created (Canva links or screenshots are great) Your rate and general availability Confirmation that you’re comfortable designing in Canva and working in the beauty/personal care space We’re looking for someone who takes pride in thoughtful design, enjoys collaboration, and is excited to grow alongside a brand—not just crank out assets.
