Part-Time Dental Hygiene Faculty Opportunity in Landover, MD
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Part-Time Dental Hygiene Faculty member to join our team at the Denver School of Nursing, located in Landover, MD. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of future dental hygiene professionals and contributing to the growth and success of our program.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction to dental hygiene students, as well as participating in faculty development programs, mentoring students, and supporting the overall mission and goals of the dental hygiene program.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver didactic courses, develop curriculum, and manage laboratory and clinical assignments
Mentor and counsel students to ensure their success and retention in the program
Stay current with industry developments, technologies, and best practices in dental hygiene education
Participate in faculty meetings, committee assignments, and professional development opportunities
Support the program's vision, mission, and goals, and promote the dental hygiene program to the community
Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree in dental hygiene or a related field, or enrollment in a baccalaureate program
Current dental hygiene or dental license, or ability to obtain one
Current CPR certification/health care provider
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience, with teaching experience preferred
