What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist instructors in delivering course content and facilitating in-class activities
- Provide feedback on student writing and assist with grading using a rubric
- Conduct out-of-class tutoring sessions to support student learning
- Help manage specialized software or virtual labs for course assignments
- Collaborate with faculty to create a supportive learning environment for students
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a current student enrolled in the College of Information Sciences and Technology
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with course material in Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related fields
- Availability to assist with both in-class and out-of-class activities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as a tutor or in a teaching assistant role
- Knowledge of specialized software relevant to the courses offered
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Interest in pursuing a career in education or academia
