Paralegal
Lois Law Firm is the number one firm in its vertical serving Fortune 100 companies. They are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their growing litigation team, where the role involves supporting attorneys in New York and New Jersey workers’ compensation cases through research, drafting legal documents, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Paralegal to support the New York or New Jersey workers’ compensation defense practice Conduct research to support legal proceedings Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Record and store client information Skills An associate's degree is required Successful candidates must be ambitious and driven Possess a strong work ethic Have good organizational skills Familiarity with legal research Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to push claims forward to closure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Deadline- and detail-oriented Candidate must secure a notary license (Lois LLC will reimburse for associated costs) A Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved organization or a bachelor's degree Previous experience as a paralegal or in the legal field is appreciated but not required Benefits Flexible to work a hybrid schedule, after initial onboarding and integration period; One-to-one attorney-to-paralegal ratio – you will have support here!
