Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Functional/Technical Analyst
This role is hybrid in Long Beach, CA.
Role Overview
The Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Functional/Technical Analyst supports enterprise aftermarket systems within a complex supply chain and logistics environment. This role provides production support, troubleshooting, configuration, and minor development across Oracle EBS modules and integrations with AS400-based EDI systems and external partners.
The analyst works closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to support procurement, inventory, logistics, pricing, and order management processes across a hybrid enterprise environment that includes Oracle EBS, AS400 integrations, EDI platforms, and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Functional & Technical Support
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and configuration for Oracle EBS modules including:
β’ Procurement / Purchasing
β’ Inventory Management
β’ Order Management
β’ Advanced Pricing
β’ Logistics / Shipping
β’ Supplier integrations
Typical responsibilities include:
β’ Troubleshooting purchase order integrations and supplier transactions
β’ Supporting punchout procurement integrations with third-party vendors
β’ Troubleshooting inbound Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) transactions from suppliers
β’ Investigating and resolving inbound/outbound purchase order interface issues
β’ Supporting EDI purchase order and supplier portal integrations
β’ Providing support for drop-ship and orderability configuration
β’ Assisting with advanced pricing uploads and configuration (modifiers, qualifiers, pricing rules)
Inventory & Item Master Support
Support Oracle EBS inventory and item master data management including:
β’ Item master configuration and troubleshooting
β’ Item category management
β’ Customer item cross-references
β’ Product line and sub-product line setup
β’ Inventory transactions and reconciliation
β’ On-hand, allocation, and availability analysis
β’ UPC and product relationship management
β’ Integration troubleshooting with upstream and downstream systems
Logistics & Warehouse Operations Support
Provide system support for warehouse and shipping operations including:
β’ Supporting picking, packing, and shipping processes
β’ Integration support with carrier systems
β’ Troubleshooting shipping documentation issues such as shipping labels and documentation
β’ Supporting warehouse and fulfillment workflows connected to Oracle EBS
AS400 / EDI Integration Support (Application Level)
Provide application-level support for AS400-based EDI systems and integrations used for supplier, customer, and corporate data exchange.
Responsibilities include:
β’ Supporting EDI transaction processing and troubleshooting
β’ Assisting with setup and configuration of EDI trading partners
β’ Maintaining EDI document mappings and exchanges
β’ Monitoring EDI transactions and resolving failures
β’ Coordinating with operations teams on infrastructure-related issues
β’ Supporting inbound and outbound interfaces between Oracle EBS and AS400 systems
Common transactions supported include:
β’ Inbound customer purchase orders
β’ Outbound sales orders
β’ Advance Shipment Notices (ASN)
β’ Supplier ASN processing
β’ Invoice transmissions
β’ Inventory reporting transactions
AS400 Application Support
Provide application-level support for AS400-based integrations and legacy systems.
Responsibilities include:
β’ Supporting operational processes such as returns management and label maintenance
β’ Assisting with user access and application configuration
β’ Troubleshooting interface issues with corporate systems and partner integrations
β’ Supporting reprocessing and resending of failed transactions
Required Skills & Experience
ERP Systems
β’ 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite
β’ Strong knowledge of:
β’ Procurement / Purchasing
β’ Inventory
β’ Order Management
β’ Advanced Pricing
β’ Warehouse or logistics modules
Integration & Data
β’ Experience supporting enterprise system integrations
β’ Understanding of EDI transaction processing
β’ Experience troubleshooting interface failures and data flows
AS400 / IBM i
β’ Experience supporting AS400 (IBM i) environments
β’ Familiarity with:
β’ EDI translation platforms
β’ Batch processing and job monitoring
β’ Interface troubleshooting
Supply Chain Domain Knowledge
Experience supporting systems related to:
β’ Warehouse operations
