Operations Manager - 2nd Shift
Description:
• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Lead and manage at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, accountability, and performance management for direct reports.
• Participate in strategic planning and help execute goals and objectives aligned with company priorities.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Recruit, select, orient, train, and develop supervisory staff and team members.
• Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently completed.
• Provide competency-based feedback and guidance to leads and associates.
• Support production planning and ensure adequate capacity for each line.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Drive team engagement around quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Lead problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
• 5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high volume and quality standards.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analysis and decision-making ability.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to walk up to three miles per day.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical movements in varied environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and use required safety equipment and PPE.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
