role summary We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Operations Executive to ensure smooth operational processes and support impactful advocacy initiatives. In this role, you will help shape a more sustainable future through operational excellence and effective stakeholder engagement. This is a mission-driven role offering you the chance to drive positive change within ProVeg Malaysia and the broader food system. job details Reports to: Country Director, ProVeg Malaysia Location: Greater Kuala Lumpur region / Hybrid remote Hours: Full-time (40h/week) Contract type: 1 year (with possibility for extension) Salary: RM 3500- 4500 per month depending on experience (based on 1.0 FTE) responsibilities Operational and Administrative Support (70%) Serve as a key communication link between stakeholders, partners, and internal team members. Draft, edit, and distribute internal memos, newsletters, and external press releases. Compile and maintain program activity and operational reports. Support OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking and summarise performance data. Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports. Policy Advocacy and Institutional Engagement (30%) Assist in advancing plant-based dietary policies and sustainable food initiatives. Support the development of partnerships with institutions, encouraging plant-based meal adoption. Assist in organising campaigns, events, and workshops to promote sustainable eating qualifications Required: At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a relevant role (business administration, business operations, Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, business administration, communications, or a related field. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience with performance tracking, reporting, and budgeting tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficient written skills in Malay. Passion for plant-based advocacy and sustainability. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Preferred: Prior experience in advocacy, NGOs, SDGs, ESG or food sustainability initiatives.
