Occupational Therapist
Proximity Learning is seeking a Virtual Occupational Therapist to support K–12 students for the current school year. This role requires a dedicated, organized, patient, and compassionate professional to provide virtual therapeutic services that promote student participation, engagement, and success across academic settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering student growth and collaboration within a supportive virtual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine therapy needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Implement individualized occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance in the classroom.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into daily school activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and comply with relevant educational and therapy regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and certification appropriate for school settings.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a school setting, not including the internship year.
Ability to design, implement, and modify school-based therapy programs as needed.
Working knowledge of technology such as virtual tools/personal computers and platforms for data tracking, collaboration, and communication.
Schedule flexibility (School day hours) and interest in working across time zones.
Location: This is a 100% remote role
This is a 1099 role that does not offer benefits.
