[Remote] Data Platform Engineer

They are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to support enterprise cloud data platforms, data governance, cataloging, and metadata management initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering and architecture teams to enable modern AWS and Databricks-based ecosystems.ResponsibilitiesEnable and support AWS-based data platform services and cloud-native data solutionsConfigure, manage, and support data cataloging and governance platformsSupport metadata management, data lineage, data discovery, and governance initiativesWork extensively with AWS Glue, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and CollibraCollaborate with engineering teams to onboard, catalog, and govern enterprise data assetsSupport platform administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement effortsPartner with data engineering teams to support enterprise data architecture and governance standardsAssist with the implementation of best practices for data quality, governance, metadata management, and catalog managementParticipate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building effortsContribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etcContribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge BaseProvide status reports to OP Account Management as requestedSkillsStrong experience working with AWS cloud services and data platformsStrong experience with CollibraExperience with Unity Catalog and metadata management conceptsHands-on experience with AWS GlueExperience working with Databricks and Delta TablesStrong understanding of data governance, data lineage, cataloging, and enterprise data managementExperience supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platformsStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsExperience supporting e-commerce, digital commerce, retail, or customer-facing transaction platformsFamiliarity with MongoDB and modern cloud data architecturesExposure to IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud)Experience supporting customer, transactional, or analytical data domainsExperience working within large-scale enterprise environmentsBenefits401(k).Dental Insurance.Health insurance.Vision insurance.Company OverviewOP is one of the fastest-growing technology consulting and solutions companies in the U.S. It was founded in 2006, and is headquartered in Irvine, California, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
