OCC System Controller

SkyWest employees enjoy a distinctive and unmatched culture of teamwork, respect, quality and professionalism, along with world-class benefits such as: • 401(k) match • Performance Rewards and Profit Sharing • Health care (medical, dental, and vision) • Discounted and standby travel privileges worldwide for you and your family with all four of our major partners (Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines) Primary Job Duties: • Responsible for schedule integrity and daily operation of SkyWest Airlines flights to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and consideration of economic factors • Cancels and delays flights, reflows crews and aircraft as necessary to achieve a high level of efficiency, economics, and passenger convenience • Maintains a constant awareness of weather, air traffic control, and other factors impacting flights in their region of operation • Communicates with the appropriate dispatcher regarding changes that affect the release of any flight • Communicates with flight crew and station personnel regarding changes to aircraft assignment • Develops contingency and recovery plans during irregular operations Minimum Requirements: • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and shift work with possible early morning and/or late night shifts • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment • This is an hourly position with an annual equivalent pay of $56,160 • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, FAA Pilots License, or experience in an aviation related field preferred • 6 months SkyWest OCC experience highly preferred • Must be able to read, interpret, and apply aviation weather to the operation Physical and Other Requirements: • Training for those selected for this position will begin in May 2025. • This job posting may have an additional video interview requirement.
