As the Nurse Practitioner, you would perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team. You would enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team. Since this is a Virtual Primary Care Nurse Practitioner role, you would be responsible for after hour Primary Care pateint calls and Telemedicine. Overall, this position is critical in leading quality and evidence-based care initiatives that will result in achieving optimal patient outcomes and improved patient satisfaction. • Develop and Grow your Career! And employee parking is always free! Position: Per Diem, Nurse Practitioner - Virtual Primary Care Shift: Per Diem Weekends - Friday through Sunday. Required 20 hours in a 6-week schedule. 3-5 hour shifts, day and evening hours. Experience: 1. Two years Nurse Practitioner experience in a Primary Care or ambulatory setting is required. 2. A minimum of two years nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. 3. Telemedicine experience preferred Education: 1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required. 2. MSN required. Licensures/Certifications: 1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). 2. BLS certification required. 5. Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred. Refer to the specialty addendum. 6. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved. 7. Completion of and Certification as a RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) to be able to gain credentials for C-Sections. Certification must be within 1 year of employment.
