Night Dispatch
We are seeking a Night Dispatcher to become part of our growing company built on reputation, success and employee satisfaction working in a friendly environment. Night Dispatch is responsible for managing the transportation of freight and load boards during the evening hours and weekends. Responsibilities β’ Make check calls by calling drivers delivering, picking up and on the road β’ Coordinate loads and dispatch drivers loading daily including setting appointments, getting directions, loading times, temperature requirements, ETAβs, etc. β’ Monitor operations to ensure loads run smooth, on time and all details are attended to β’ Accurately enter detailed information for each customer, carrier and load into load board program to ensure streamlined communication across all levels β’ Respond quickly to resolve problems and issues that may arise during transit of loads Qualifications β’ High school diploma or equivalent, Supply Chain Management degree preferred β’ Experience in transportation or logistics β’ Must enjoy working in the evening hours and weekends in a supportive role β’ Strong work ethic with proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment β’ Live in the Metro Detroit area Learning, Development & Culture: Our organization culture is positive, encouraging teamwork, growth, and innovation.
