Network Analyst

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Analyst with experience in file systems, network protocols, system monitoring tools, and heterogeneous environments including Unix, Linux, and Oracle. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HP NonStop systems and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot and interpret various trace files and network diagrams. Training/certification on HP NonStop concepts and facilities can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support HP NonStop file systems and system components.
• Understand and apply HP NonStop concepts and facilities (training available).
• Configure network settings and troubleshoot network-related issues in a NonStop environment.
• Analyze and interpret TCP/IP traces, wire chart traces (e.g., sniffer traces), and Tandem networking traces.
• Collaborate on system architecture and create simplified SNA (System Network Architecture) diagrams to aid understanding and problem resolution.
• Monitor systems and networks using tools like Prognosis from Integrated Research.
• Interface with Oracle, Unix, and Linux systems in a hybrid infrastructure environment.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, support, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable system operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with HP NonStop file systems and networking.
• Understanding of network configuration and protocols, especially TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with analyzing network traces including wire chart and Tandem networking traces.
• Knowledge of SNA (System Network Architecture) and ability to visualize or document network layouts.
• Experience with Oracle, Unix, and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in using Prognosis or similar network/system monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• HP NonStop certification or relevant training (can be provided).
• Previous experience in a banking or mission-critical systems environment.
• Experience working with cross-regional technical teams.
