Narrative Systems Designer
Halo Studios, part of Xbox Game Studios, is seeking a Narrative Systems Designer to contribute to the next generation of Halo games and experiences. The role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement narrative systems, editing world triggers, and ensuring immersive experiences across gameplay, environments, and characters. Requirements Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Game Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Data Science, Game Design, or related field AND 2+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field Previous experience implementing narrative systems with Unreal Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements Have shipped at least 1 title released to consumers/shipped game Experience working with Unreal Engine Blueprints to implement narrative elements Comprehensive understanding of narrative game systems – especially in FPS and action genres combined with a demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and rectify game design and systemic issues Benefits Competitive salary Benefits and other compensation (see link in job description) Originally posted on Himalayas
