The Role

Our lending institution is looking for Mortgage Loan Officers to help join a high-performance team with projected annual loan production of $1 billion.

Responsibilities
• Originate mortgage loans by converting in-bound leads provided by the company, establishing new client relationships, maintaining referral partners, and marketing to individual database and potential new sources
• Take full and accurate loan applications utilizing Ellie Mae’s Encompass360
• Process residential mortgage loans (Conventional, Jumbo, Purchase, Refinance) in a manner consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements
• Obtain and review required loan documentation and submits complete loan packages to Underwriting for approval and prepare for submission to Closing
• Manage a pipeline of loans and maintain timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process
• Monitor and ensure closing dates and company deadlines are met
• Communicates clearly and frequently with the client and related third parties involved in the transaction (e.g., buyers, sellers, title companies, builder and real estate agents.)
• Provides world-class customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers and referral partners
• Complete any yearly NMLS continuing education requirements and maintain an active license with NMLS
• Keeps abreast of changes in policies and procedures, standards and regulations applicable to the company and the mortgage industry

Qualifications/Experience
• College degree is desired
• In depth knowledge of loan products, programs, and guidelines
• Strong technical competencies - able to research on the Internet, utilize advanced tools, and have advanced Excel and Word abilities
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Creative and resourceful with a solutions-oriented approach
• Impeccable attention to detail and able to multi-task multiple priorities with deadlines
• Self-starter able to thrive in a team-oriented environment with individual goals and expectations
• Excellent selling, written, and oral communications skills that can influence decision-making
• Obsessed with the customers experience
