We are looking to bring on an experienced Data Engineer to join Eight Sleep’s machine learning team. This role involves monitoring production ML systems, building tools and pipelines for data analysis, dataset curation, training and evaluation and developing systems for automated failure detection. This is a full time 6 month contract position eligible for remote work from the US, CA or LATAM. How you’ll contribute • Monitor production machine learning systems to ensure performance and reliability. • Develop big data ETL pipelines for model development and evaluation. • Manage and curate datasets for training machine learning models using the 10 PB of sensor data we have collected & built tools to monitor incoming sensor data from Eight Sleep’s clinical studies. What you need to succeed • 1+ years of experience working in data engineering. • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, including experience with coroutines, NumPy/SciPy, Pandas. • Experience with AWS services relevant to machine learning and data engineering, including EC2, SageMaker, S3, and Kinesis as well as SQL. • Problem-solving, communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
