Mental Health Counselor (1099 Contractor – Telehealth)
Greenwood Mental Health Counseling P.C. is a growing virtual private practice committed to providing culturally responsive, compassionate, and accessible mental health care across New York.
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Mental Health Counselor to join our supportive and collaborative telehealth team as an independent contractor (1099).
This position is ideal for clinicians who value flexibility, autonomy, professionalism, and a streamlined virtual work environment with consistent referral flow.
Position Details

Responsibilities
• Provide psychotherapy services via secure telehealth platform
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Manage and maintain an active caseload
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members
• Participate in brief bi-weekly virtual clinical huddles
• Uphold ethical and professional clinical standards
QualificationsRequired:
• LMHC, LCSW, or Limited Permit eligible in New York State
• Experience or comfort providing virtual therapy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
Preferred:
• Experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, or multicultural populations
• Comfortable with electronic documentation systems
• Motivated, dependable, and growth-oriented clinicians
Compensation & Benefits
