Member, Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee
Job Summary:
The Public Service Commission of Kenya (PSCK) is seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to join the Independent Negotiation and Evaluation Committee. As a Member of this Committee, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the negotiation and evaluation processes for performance contracts with various public bodies. Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate Performance Contracts: Engage in negotiations with public bodies to establish performance contracts that align with the organization's strategic plan.
Align Performance Targets: Ensure that performance targets and indicators of public bodies are in line with the organization's strategic plan and prioritize citizen-focused results.
Mid-Year Performance Reviews: Conduct mid-year performance reviews of public bodies to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the overall performance of public bodies to assess their effectiveness and adherence to performance contracts.
Media Monitoring: Monitor news coverage and track public perceptions of Government policies and initiatives.
Collaboration and Advisory: Collaborate with other Government agencies and departments to coordinate messaging and advise Government officials on effective public relations and media strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Educational Qualification: A minimum bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Kenya.
Professional Experience: At least 15 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
Top Management Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a top management position in a relevant field.
Knowledge of National Development Goals: Familiarity with national development goals to align performance targets effectively.
Performance Management Experience: Previous experience in performance management.
Chapter Six Requirements: Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, pertaining to ethical and integrity standards.
