Medical/Surgical Transcriptionist - Radiology

The Mayo Clinic is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical/Surgical Transcriptionist - Radiology to join our world-class team. This individual will have the opportunity to work with some of the top-rated healthcare professionals in the country in a dynamic and innovative environment. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who is organized, professional, and has a passion for providing excellent medical transcription services. We are looking for an individual who has a minimum of two years' experience in a medical transcription setting, specifically with radiology. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience with medical transcription software. The successful candidate must also have excellent grammar and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities: Transcribe medical reports and other documents accurately and in a timely fashion Utilize medical transcription software to ensure accuracy and efficiency Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to translate audio files into written records Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines when transcribing medical records Maintain accurate records and files Perform proofreading and editing of medical documents Ensure confidentiality of medical records Respond to inquiries in a timely manner Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy of documentation Mayo Clinic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
