Medical Transcriptionist - Edgewater, NJ
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide medical transcription services directly to healthcare providers.
• Transcribe dictated information to produce medical and clinical documents.
• Document SOAP notes accurately.
• Enter diagnoses, ICD-10 codes, and pending prescriptions for provider signatures.
• Input billing, E&M codes, and CPT codes for various health conditions.
• Assist providers with ancillary software tasks and prompt them with relevant questions regarding patient care.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
• Collaborate with supervisors to solve complex problems.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• At least 1 year of experience as a medical transcriptionist is required.
• Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST, Monday - Friday.
Nice-to-haves
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
