Responsibilities

• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and adherence to medical standards.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret dictations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear dictations or terminologies.
• Organize and manage electronic files of transcribed documents for easy retrieval.
Skills
• Proficient typing skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Strong listening skills to accurately transcribe audio recordings.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
