The MSL provides highly technical scientific information to national and regional external stakeholders to ensure their understanding of our product and gathers insights on areas of therapeutic interest to Dendreon. NOTE: This role is for the Northeast Territory. Applicants MUST RESIDE in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan or Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with health care professionals (HCPs):Identify, map, and strategically engage key external experts (KOLs, investigators, and HCPs)Develop long-term scientific partnerships through non-promotional exchangeProvide disease state and therapeutic awareness to urology and oncology thought leadersRespond to scientific questions from thought leaders and HCPsServe as an advanced scientific expert in prostate cancer and immunologyRepresent Dendreon at scientific conferences and gather actionable insightsLead and participate in Advisory Boards and internal strategic planning meetingsStrategic Responsibilities:Develop and execute a territory medical plan aligned with Dendreon objectivesGenerate and communicate actionable insights from field interactionsServe as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams (Clinical, Market Access, Commercial)Translate insights into recommendations to inform medical and lifecycle strategyParticipate in the conduct of clinical trials:Identify and support investigators and clinical operationsSupport investigator-sponsored studies (IIS)Identify evidence gaps and contribute to lifecycle managementParticipate in the education of HCPs and Dendreon employees:Provide medical information at scientific meetings and congressesEducate HCPs on appropriate use of PROVENGE®Serve as a resource for internal stakeholdersContribute to scientific discussions on evolving prostate cancer landscapeData, Insights, and Compliance:Capture and document insights using approved systems (e.g., Veeva CRM)Interpret clinical data, RWE, and competitive intelligenceEnsure all interactions are compliant with FDA and PhRMA guidelinesTherapeutic Expertise and Differentiation:Serve as an expert in cellular immunotherapy and autologous treatmentsUnderstand and communicate patient journey and logistics of cell therapyMaintain deep knowledge of prostate cancer competitive landscape
Qualifications:
Required Experience & Skills:Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, DNP) or equivalent3 years related experience in FDA-regulated industry 2 years of clinical experience with preference for oncology, urology, or immunology outside of education and trainingStrong overall written and verbal communication skills; strong demonstrated presentation skillsProficient in all MS Office applicationsNOTE: This role is for the Northeast Territory. Applicants MUST RESIDE in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan or Ohio. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:Travel will be required and could be up to 50%, including overnight stays and occasional weekend travel.Must reside within the designated territory for the posted position.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas.Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities.Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Limited exposure to (2ºC - 8ºC); (-20ºC); (-75ºC); (-196ºC) areas. Must have the ability to work around laboratories and manufacturing areas and equipment.Job performed in a lab, office, or utility (noisy) environment.Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment with exposure to blood, blood products or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials) while donning required personal protective materials.
