The perfect candidate will possess the following qualities: a strong attention to detail; excellent knowledge of healthcare billing procedures/processes, documentation, and standards; the ability to think critically and work independently; work within the billing team to achieve a shared outcome in an effective way; and demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Job duties include translating medical documentation into CPT and ICD 10 codes for insurance claim submission, working denials from insurance companies, filing appeals, and communicating with physicians and providing feedback/education when needed. CPC certification and three to five years of medical billing experience is required. Family Practice experience, eClinicalWorks software experience, and experience with commercial insurances, Medicare and Medicaid is preferred. This job is performed within a beautiful building with a pond-view break room, outdoor eating space and complimentary coffee and soda.
