Medical Bill Processor

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To enter provider demographic data into the system; and to verify the output.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Keys provider demographic data into the system.
Verify accuracy of data input
Handle customer email inquiries
Create work items for team processing.
Involved in system maintenance/file maintenance and interface with IT department.
Assists in account batching and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organization's quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
High School diploma or GED required.

Experience
One (1) year of general office experience in data entry or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills
Strong organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $20.00- $21.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits.
