Mechanical Engineer II - IV

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II - IV to create designs, perform calculations, and coordinate with design teams on various projects.ResponsibilitiesCreating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designersPerforming equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizesRepresenting Syska Hennessy Group and working in close contact with and effectively interacting with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultantsCoordinating with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design teamConducting field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new workAssisting the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVITMastering drawing organization format and company standardsTaking ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignmentsAttending continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topicsSkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited InstitutionMinimum of 18 months+ to 7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission CriticalLatest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT requiredBasic understanding of proper system selectionBasic knowledge of applicable codesFE certification requiredStrong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawingsBasic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirementsKnowledge of trade specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.)Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare and interest in Project Management greatly preferredBenefitsRobust, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance and supplemental benefit plans401(k) plan with a generous employer matching programTraining and professional development coursesProfessional development incentive bonusesDynamic Employee Resource GroupsCompetitive Paid Time Off (PTO) policyTransit/parking employer stipend½ day work from home Fridays all year longCompany OverviewConsult ■ Engineer ■ Commission At Syska Hennessy Group, we create exceptional environments.
