Mechanical Engineer
Position Overview
Work directly with on sight customer to develop work packages and coordinate key deliverables to the offshore engineering team. Responsible for project interaction between customer and the offshore project team. In this role you will be responsible for providing customer project status updates while tracking any critical milestones. In addition, you will be responsible for time sensitive tasks that may require onsite development and delivery to customer.
Primary responsibilities
? Work with on sight engineering customer to define work package.
? Conduct reviews with offshore team to assess project tasks.
? Responsible for identifying errors and or defects with incoming work package.
? Record defects and address open issues with offshore team.
? Update process and remove all defects as defined.
? Review product plans at product level and ensure requirements are met.
? Keep program team members and management appraised of project status and roadblocks.
? Coordinate key metrics back to customer regarding offshore task efficiency and quality.
Specific Skills/Abilities
The position requires CAD familiarity. Fundamental understanding of Crea 2.0 and Solid Works preferred. Strong skills set with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Windchill and Excel preferred.
Experience
? 2- 5 years' experience within Engineering market preferred.
? Experience with APQP Process, creating DFMEA's, and PPAP.
? Experience in GD&T and ASM E Y14.1drawing principles.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and excel in a self-directed work environment as well as within a cross functional team.
? Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
? Excellent communication skills, both written and oral format.
Training Required
? Candidates will attend HV safety training offered by Client as an on-the-job training function.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
