Overview
We’re looking for a sharp newsletter writer and content strategist to help us develop and execute a thoughtful, high-quality newsletter for our brand. This role is ideal for someone who loves shaping ideas, refining voice, and turning strategy into clear, engaging content.
You’ll work closely with our team to help define themes, structure, and cadence, then write and edit newsletters that feel smart, relevant, and distinctly human.
This is not a high-volume, generic email role. We care deeply about clarity, tone, and substance. We have an engaged audience of friends and clients and we’d like to make this a semi-regular send, say monthly or every two months.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with our team to shape newsletter strategy, themes, and positioning
- Write and edit engaging marketing newsletters (long-form and short-form)
- Help refine voice and messaging to ensure consistency and differentiation
- Turn rough notes, ideas, or conversations into polished content
- Suggest topics, formats, and angles that resonate with founders, operators, and investors
- Occasionally repurpose newsletter content into other formats (optional)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong writing and editing skills with a clear point of view
- Experience writing marketing, brand, or thought leadership content
- Strategic thinker who understands audience, intent, and positioning
- Comfortable working from loose briefs or early-stage ideas
- Ability to balance storytelling with clarity and structure
- Bonus: experience with startup, VC, tech, or B2B audiences
Nice to Have
- Newsletter-specific experience (Substack, email platforms, etc.)
- Content strategy or editorial background
- Light familiarity with GTM, fundraising, or brand storytelling
