Manufacturing Accountant
Established Searcy, Arkansas (45 minutes north of Little Rock, Arkansas) Manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant with Cost Accoutning expereince for their state of the art facility. This position will be responsible for all Cost Accounting Activities, profitability by customer and product line and production analysis.
Key Accountabilities
ā¢ Ensure maintenance of bill of materials and routers in conjunction with Master Data function
ā¢ Perform annual standard cost roll and reconciliation
ā¢ Prepare and analyze job costing at both plant and item level
ā¢ Prepare cost estimates, maintain activity rates and analyze cost trends
ā¢ Perform variance analysis on base materials, resins, inks, other materials and labor focusing on price usage and mix variances
ā¢ Assist in the preparation of annual production budgets and related capacity planning
ā¢ Assist in inventory control and material management functions as required
ā¢ Maintain and track reporting of cost/profit improvement plans for the site
ā¢ Perform and track customer profitability analysis for customers
ā¢ Oversee accounting offload and other capacity planning tasks
ā¢ Reviews finished good inventory for proper valuation
ā¢ Reviews Cost Center Expenditure reports weekly for potential savings opportunities, meets weekly with cost center managers on checkbook PO analyses and actual vs budget expense flux analysis
ā¢ Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education And Experience
ā¢ Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or economics
ā¢ 2+ years in financial accounting experience
ā¢ 2+ years cost accounting experience in a plant environment
