This is a remote position. As a Managed Care Contract Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs), insurance companies, and other payers on behalf of Zotec clients. This role ensures that contracts align with organizational goals, optimize reimbursement, and comply with regulatory requirements. The manager also monitors contract performance and collaborates with internal teams to resolve issues and improve financial outcomes.What you’ll do:Negotiate contract terms, rates, and reimbursement structures with managed care organizations and third-party payersAnalyze contract language, fee schedules, and payment methodologies to ensure accuracy and profitabilityMaintain and manage a portfolio of payer contracts, including renewals and amendmentsMonitor contract performance, reimbursement trends, and payer complianceAssist in resolving underpayments, denials, and contract discrepanciesCollaborate with finance, revenue cycle, legal, and operations teams to support contract execution and optimizationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulationsDevelop reports and dashboards to track contract performance and key metricsServe as the primary point of contact for payer relationships and escalationsStay current on industry trends, payer policies, and regulatory changesWhat you’ll bring to Zotec:Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred)3–7+ years of experience in managed care contracting, healthcare finance, or payer relationsExperience negotiating contracts with commercial insurers, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid plansStrong negotiation and contract analysis skillsDeep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (e.g., fee-for-service, DRG, capitation, value-based care)Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or data analysis toolsKnowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirementsExcellent communication and relationship management skillsAbility to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneouslyAttention to detail and problem-solving abilityPreferred Qualifications:Experience with contract management systems or payer analytics toolsFamiliarity with revenue cycle operationsCertification such as HFMA, CPC, or similar
