Description
Job Summary:
ā¢ Provide excellent customer service.
ā¢ Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following policies and procedures.
ā¢ Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of the visit.
ā¢ Precert procedure/test when required.
ā¢ Determine if the purpose of visit is urgent or emergent; refer to ER if necessary.
ā¢ Collect patient demographics upon arrival.
ā¢ Prepare patient for exam by collecting medical history, vital signs, and required clinical information.
ā¢ Document patient current medications and all allergies.
ā¢ Assist provider during testing, examinations, and procedures when needed.
ā¢ Follow provider's instructions to complete patient treatment.
ā¢ Provide and record all medications and immunizations ordered by provider and given to the patient.
ā¢ Take patient specimen and carry out laboratory tests ordered by the provider.
ā¢ Stock rooms with necessary supplies.
ā¢ Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; communicate to the manager when an order needs to be placed.
ā¢ Perform administrative duties such as answering incoming/returning calls; verifying that lab and imaging reports are received.
ā¢ Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
ā¢ Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required. Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Nursing required.
Experience:
One year experience in a healthcare field.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guest. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required. BLS and NRP certification within one year of hire date.
