Logistics / Transportation Analyst ( Remote )

We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Logistics / Transportation Analyst to join our team remotely. In this pivotal role, you will be the central hub for analyzing and optimizing our transportation network, from carrier performance and freight costs to route efficiency and last-mile delivery. Your insights will directly impact our bottom line, service levels, and overall operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Freight & Cost Analysis: • Track, audit, and analyze freight costs (parcel, LTL, FTL, international) to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities. • Develop and maintain cost-per-shipment and other freight-related KPIs. • Assist in the preparation of bids and analyses for carrier and 3PL contract negotiations. • Carrier & Performance Management: • Monitor and report on carrier performance against KPIs (On-Time Pickup & Delivery, Tender Acceptance Rates, Invoice Accuracy). • Investigate root causes of service failures (delays, damages) and work with carriers on corrective actions. • Serve as a key analytical resource for our carrier management team. • Logistics Network Optimization: • Analyze shipping data to optimize mode selection (Ground vs. Air) and routing guides. • Model the impact of potential network changes, such as adding new distribution centers or shifting carrier portfolios. • Support the analysis of last-mile delivery strategies to enhance speed and reduce cost. • Reporting & Data Management: • Build, maintain, and automate dynamic dashboards (in Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to provide real-time visibility into transportation performance. • Create standardized and ad-hoc reports for management and operational teams. • Ensure data integrity across TMS, ERP, and carrier tracking systems. What You'll Need (Qualifications): • Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in a logistics, transportation, or carrier analyst role. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query) is essential. • Hands-on experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) or a major ERP logistics module. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for digging into data. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
