Logistics Specialist II
Job Profile Summary:
Provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders.
Contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately.
Communicates changes to routing and timelines.
Prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation.
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Comply with the requirements of the companys Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of related experience
Gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
5+ years of related experience
Confident, team-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Self-managed and highly motivated
Displays integrity, reliability, empathy, and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
