DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a Live English Transcriptionist / Stenographer to join our team in the US!
Role Summary
In this role you will accurately transcribe live virtual meetings, ensuring every word and gesture is captured in real-time. The focus is to provide an exact written record of the meetings as they happen.
Role Responsibilities
Β Transcribe all spoken information during calls without relying on recordings or Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) support. The focus is to provide an exact written record of the meetings as they happen.
Β Ensure all spoken information and gestures are correctly captured during the virtual meeting
Β Final transcription for the virtual meetings must be delivered within 24 hours after participating in the meeting
Β Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
Role Requirements
Β Candidates selected for an interview will be required to participate in a live, 10-minute transcription test as part of the qualification process
Β Minimum 2 years of experience transcribing live, real-time events
Β Comprehensive understanding of the conventions followed during transcription
Β Completed courses in typing / stenography
Β Shorthand typing speed
Β Proficiency using Google Workspace/Suite products
Β Stable internet connection and comfortable working with Google Chromebook (Note: equipment will be provided)
Β Excellent active listening skills and strong attention to detail
Β Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Β NCRA certification is a plus
Β Experience with steno machines is a plus
