Licensing Representative - NSI Licensing Support

The Licensing Representative will act as a licensing subject matter expert, ensuring compliance and timely execution of producer appointments and terminations while facilitating communication between the NSI team and NF Licensing.ResponsibilitiesAct as the licensing subject matter expert for appointment and termination processes, providing guidance to NSI and related stakeholders on state regulations, internal policies, and system requirementsServe as the primary liaison between NSI and NF Licensing, facilitating clear communication, issue resolution, and process alignment related to licensing appointments and terminationsEnsure appointments are executed in accordance with state insurance regulations, company policies, and carrier requirementsAccurately update licensing systems to reflect appointment status changes, terminations, reinstatements, and related record updatesCoordinate and reconcile appointment data across systems to ensure consistency, accuracy, and audit readinessCommunicate status updates, issues, and resolutions effectively with NSI and other internal stakeholdersSupport periodic audits, reconciliations, and reporting related to appointments and terminationsMaintain detailed documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory and operational standardsReviews and processes applications, registrations, and/or appointments and maintenance requests consistent with approved standards and practices accurately and in a timely manner; and for multiple distribution channelsImplements customary changes in insurance licensing requirements based on changes in laws, regulations, or company policiesMaintains and updates regulatory related information, files across multiple distribution channelsMaintains databases and related background information and files for assigned states, operation, and/or distribution channelReceives incoming calls and requests from internal and external customers and responds in a manner that provides an outstanding customer experienceAdvises and educates customers on the licensing requirements and registration process, furnishing materials, and submitting forms and fees to state department of insurance and/or other regulatory agenciesAssists in reviewing, analyzing and interpreting licensing laws and regulationsInteracts with customers to resolve not in good order issuesServes as liaison between licensing and key internal and external customers in regards to license issuesProvides related customer service to internal and external departments to ensure that all applications are processed correctly and in a timely mannerMeets standards of work set for the business unit, including quality assurance goalsSkillsHigh school diploma or comparable diploma requiredTypically, 1 year of licensing or related industry experience in licensing, registration, or in a technical position with the SEC, IRS, state insurance department, or complianceDeveloping knowledge of procedures related to license processing and regulatory requirementsFamiliarity with licensing terminologyAbility to effectively operate a personal computer with related business and licensing softwareFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 applicationsOral and written communication skills for contact with agents, brokers, management, field sales and regulatory agenciesAbility to interpret and adhere to licensing regulationsIndustry related coursework preferredDepending on business unit supported, may be required to be fingerprinted, pass an FBI background check and be associated with Nationwide Securities, LLC as a non-registered individual if not already FINRA registeredBenefitsMedical/dental/visionLife insuranceShort and long term disability coveragePaid time off with newly hired associates receiving a minimum of 18 days paid time off each full calendar year pro-rated quarterly based on hire dateNine paid holidays8 hours of Lifetime paid time off8 hours of Unity Day paid time off401(k) with company matchCompany-paid pension planBusiness casual attireAnd more.Company OverviewNationwide, a Fortune 100 company based in Columbus, Ohio, is one of the largest and strongest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the United States.
