As a lead front end developer in Progressive’s Commercial Lines organization, you’ll develop groundbreaking and innovative digital experiences for ProgressiveCommercial.com. You’ll be part of a team of front-end developers focused on creating the next generation of digital insurance experiences for our Direct business. In this role, you’ll maintain and implement content delivery and experience optimization solutions powered by our emerging Content Management System (CMS) and testing platforms. You’ll work across various tech stacks, using an integrated Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to design content structures and implement test plans that ensure the best possible customer experiences. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with the Progressive.com team, the Web Presence IT team, and other internal front-end development teams, to ensure Commercial Lines' active participation in and contribution to cross-platform technology initiatives.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates living locally to Cleveland, Ohio. There will also be occasional travel to the corporate headquarters (Mayfield Village, Ohio) roughly one to two times per quarter.
Must-have qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years of front-end development or related work experience.
• In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of seven years of front-end development or related work experience
Preferred skills
• Strong proficiency working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and an understanding of clean coding structures, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience developing data-driven SPA or SPA-like web experiences using Vue and Nuxt.js, or similar reactive technologies
• Experience working with content management systems (specifically headless and decoupled platforms) and integrating with optimization testing platforms such as Monetate, Optimizely, Marketo, etc.
• Familiarity developing within ASP.NET MVC Architecture using Razor and C#, as well as modern CI and CD practices
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) or similar tools, and any additional experience with design systems
Compensation
• $72,100 - $96,100/year
• Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
