Lead Digital Media Artist - Remote

As the Lead Digital Media Artist, you will be responsible for setting the artistic direction, ensuring visual consistency, and overseeing the creation of all digital assets across multiple projects. You will work closely with directors, producers, and game designers to translate concepts into compelling visuals. This role requires a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in 2D/3D animation, concept art, character design, environment art, and visual effects. You must have a deep understanding of art fundamentals, composition, color theory, and storytelling. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, and Unreal Engine is essential. You will mentor junior artists, provide constructive feedback, conduct art reviews, and manage project pipelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets. This remote-first position demands excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a dispersed team. You will be instrumental in defining the aesthetic and visual language of our projects, pushing creative boundaries, and ensuring a cohesive and captivating final product. Key Responsibilities: Define and maintain the overall visual style and artistic direction for projects. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of digital artists in a remote environment. Oversee the creation of all 2D and 3D digital assets, including characters, environments, and props. Collaborate with game designers and directors to conceptualize and develop art assets. Ensure artistic quality and consistency across all project deliverables. Conduct art reviews and provide constructive feedback to artists. Manage art production pipelines and ensure on-time delivery of assets. Develop and maintain art style guides and documentation. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in digital art and animation. Contribute hands-on art creation as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital art creation for games or interactive media. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory art role. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a wide range of digital art skills (2D, 3D, concept, animation, VFX). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine). Strong understanding of art fundamentals, color theory, composition, and storytelling. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a remote setting.
