We're looking for a Lead Developer with Tech Lead responsibilities to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a direct impact by driving the development and technical direction of our platform.The RoleAs a Lead Developer, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the technical foundation of Project Expedition's platform while leading and collaborating with in-house and external development teams. Your role will blend hands-on development with technical oversight, ensuring our technology is robust, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals.Key ResponsibiltiesPlatform Development: Work on associated website projects, contributing to development and performance optimization while enabling productivity comparisons with external teams.Technical Oversight: Coordinate and guide external development teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with internal standards.Strategic Leadership: Set the technical direction and establish best practices for system design, infrastructure, and project execution.Project Management: Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met while collaborating across teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.AWS Infrastructure: Oversee infrastructure needs, leveraging AWS to design scalable and efficient systems.System Design: Develop and maintain robust architecture, ensuring the platform can handle future growth and innovation.Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Business Development teams to ensure technical decisions align with business objectives.What We're Looking ForExperience: 5+ years in software development with demonstrated leadership experiencePHP Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PHP, with experience in LaravelAWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS, infrastructure, and system design principlesProject Management: Proven experience managing complex projects and working across multiple teamsStrategic Thinker: Ability to set the direction for technical specifications and long-term development strategiesCollaboration Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with in-house and external teamsWhat We OfferComprehensive healthcare plan401K with company matchQuarterly company bonusesPaid time off (15 days to start, increasing to 20 after two years)Work-from-home budgetCompany retreatsThis is a remote-friendly position, but candidates must be based in the United States. Additional Benefits:· Bi-annual Company Sales Bonus: From H2 2025, you will be enrolled in our company bonus scheme. The bonus is $3K per year if we hit targets (and you would be eligible for up to $1,500 (50%) - this can be higher or lower depending on if we hit targets).· PTO: 15 days for your first 2 years tenure, then 20 days.· Paid Sick Leave: 4 days per year.· Healthcare: When you enroll in the company you will be able to review and opt-in to a plan effective 1st of the month following your start date. The company contribution is $7,564 annually (100% of the cheapest plan available).· 401K: You have the option to enroll in the company 401K scheme. The company will match 25% of your contribution up to a max company contribution of $2.5K per year.· Hardware: You will need to use your own laptop but we will provide an additional monitor/keyboard/mouse at the time of hire. Effective Jan 1st 2026 you would have $500 USD annual work-from-home credits available for you to use.· Training Budget: Every calendar year you will have up to $250 to spend on training.· Project Expedition Credits: You will have $750 worth of Project Expedition booking credits per year starting Jan 1st 2025.· Team Meetups: After 4 months of tenure, you will be invited on annual company meetup trips (first trip Q4 2025).
