Lab Nurse, RN - Remote
About the position
The Lab Nurse, RN at CSI Pharmacy is responsible for managing lab results and ensuring effective communication with patients and healthcare teams. This role is crucial in providing specialty pharmacy services to patients with chronic and rare illnesses, focusing on high-quality care and treatment. The Lab Nurse will work closely with pharmacists, clinicians, and other professionals to support patient health and well-being.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Manage incoming lab results based on infusion schedule and per MD order.

ā¢ Add lab results to patients' chart in Caretend as appropriate.
,
ā¢ Receive verbal orders and document per protocol.
,
ā¢ Communicate effectively with LabCorp regarding results, missing results, and missing requisition information.

ā¢ Report lab results to appropriate personnel.
,
ā¢ Assess patients' telephonically regarding critical lab results.
,
ā¢ Communicate effectively with interprofessional team in Monday and AlayaCare as appropriate.
Requirements
ā¢ College degree/certification required or equivalent experience.
,
ā¢ RN: 2 years (Required).
,
ā¢ ER/ICU/Infusion: 1 year preferred (critical thinking).
,
ā¢ Infusion experience in a hospital or Home Health setting: 1 year (Preferred).

ā¢ Ability to multi-task and frequently change direction.

ā¢ Experience in coordinating/scheduling lab draws.

ā¢ Participation in department QA activities.
