Key Responsibilities Assist instructors in operating laboratory classes, including setting up equipment and materials Organize, maintain, and control inventory of lab supplies and equipment Prepare lab experiments and demonstrations under the guidance of instructors or senior lab personnel Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices Maintain lab equipment by cleaning and performing basic repairs, and contacting supervisors for more complicated repairs Provide clerical assistance for lab maintenance and attendance purposes Assist students with using lab software and equipment, as needed Essential Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience 1 year of experience in an educational lab setting or related area preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and web page applications Ability to work effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds Organizational skills to receive, organize, maintain, test, and set up lab equipment, materials, or hardware supplies Familiarity with an academic lab setup, configuration, and testing of related equipment Physical ability to lift 25 lbs.
